![]() ![]() I can understand flat-earthers’ motivation in this, because even a little knowledge of astronomy torpedoes any notion that the earth is flat. ![]() This approach appears to be an intentional strategy to exclude any astronomical evidences when discussing the earth’s shape. ![]() With its emphasis on experimentation, flat-earthers use their very restrictive definition of the scientific method to exclude from science an observational approach to testing ideas, which leads them to conclude that astronomy is not a science. Flat-earthers conclude this is the one and only way of doing science. I pointed out that flat-earthers cite a very simplified version of the scientific method, one that is framed for laboratory science, perhaps at the high school level.
